Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Biophysics Student Organization

Mission

The Biophysics Student Organization (BSO) is an organization which serves to represent the interests of Biophysics graduate students in university shared governance as well as host social and professional events for the purpose of creating a community for Biophysics graduate students at The Ohio State University (OSU).   

The BSO executive board does the following:

  1. Coordinates social and professional events to create a community of Biophysics graduate students and provide opportunities for career exploration and development
  2. Advocates for Biophysics graduate students at Graduate Studies Committee (GSC)  meetings via the BSO President and at Council of Graduate Students (CGS) meetings via the BSO Vice President
  3. Organizes and assists in recruitment of Biophysics graduate students

 

Elections

The officers of the BSO are elected to 1-year terms by a vote of the Biophysics graduate students.  For all positions, except for the vice-president, elections take place in August; the vice-president is elected in March.
