My Story:

I use sequence statistics to probe the biophysical characteristics of enzymes and work towards uncovering the underlying mechanisms for protein stability and function.
This involves the usage of protein sequence alignments to understand the effects of statistical correlations between amino acids on fitness and stability and the development of experimental approaches using deep sequencing to test statistical hypotheses.
