Govindasamy Ilangovan

Former Faculty
Associate Professor
Department of Internal Medicine

Research Description:

Dr Ilangovan's research focuses on using EPR to track ischemia and reperfusion. Oxidative stress occurs after reperfusion and causes great damage and oxidation to cardiac cells. EPR is used to track the resulting free radicals produced in response to tissue damage, and to track recovery and oxygenation levels.
