Research Description:
My lab offers a unique, dynamic environment encompassing both basic science and translational research. Students will be in a collaborative working environment to learn state-of-the-art electrophysiological techniques for intact hearts and isolated myocytes, including dual channel optical mapping, confocal Ca imaging, and in vivo arrhythmia induction in human hearts and animal models. In addition, students will also be able to learn some updated molecular biochemical techniques such as flow cytometry, and enzyme activity assays, qPCR, immunoblotting, immunostaining, ChIP assay.
