Jayajit Das
Research Description:
In my research, I focus on developing a mechanistic understanding of biological systems, which involve intertwined physico-chemical processes that span a wide spectrum of length and time scales. I am especially involved in signal transduction and host pathogen interactions as it pertains to immunology. Multi scale theoretical approaches, rooted in statistical mechanics, combined with synergistic experimental observations are effective for gaining mechanistic insights into such systems. A hallmark of my computational/theoretical work has been close collaboration with leading experimentalists.
