Columbus as a City

Columbus, the state's capital and the 14th largest city in the US, is dynamic and progressive. The metropolitan population of Columbus has grown to around 2 million people due to low cost of living, recreational and cultural activities, and plenty of amenities that come with living in a large city.

Columbus is home to many interesting restaurants, shops, and events throughout the city's neighborhoods. Options for entertainment include Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Museum of Art, Ballet Metropolitan, the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), and several distinguished theater, dance, and music groups. In addition to cheering on the Buckeyes at The Shoe, you can also watch professional league games including Columbus Bluejackets Hockey Team, the Columbus Crew Soccer Team, and the Columbus Clippers a minor league baseball team.

Columbus Metro Parks more than 110 parks scattered throughout the city offers facilities for a wide variety of activities including hiking, biking, boating, tennis, and golf. An additional bonus is Columbus' convenient central location that makes it just an hour by plane to New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
