My Story:

I am a Ph.D. student working with Dr. Periannan Kuppusamy on stem cell research for regenerative medicine. We use the minimally invasive EPR modality to monitor the oxygenation in the infracted heart of an animal model after implanting the ischemic region with stem cells. My role is to characterize and optimize the labeling of stem cells in vitro with EPR sensitive particulate probes before they are ready for in vivo studies.
